Just made the vodka sauce to have with our pasta dinner tonight. It’s amazing. My husband and kids love it. So much better than store jar vodka sauce. I have started making most of our food homemade. Homemade is so much better and taste amazing. I have made a bunch of your recipes and will keep doing so. Thank you so much for all your recipes. Your amazing.

In reply to Brit. Hi Brit! I haven't personally tried it so I can't say for sure how it will turn out, but I believe others have tried a white wine vinegar in place of the vodka. Let me know how it goes if you try it. :)

It took all day to make 1 pint of this fabulous sauce. I only need a small amount therefore. I just dip crusty baguette slices in it.
I will use it primarily in a stuffed shell with mushrooms
and spinach recipe that I have made before.
I left out the cheese until later so it can be stored for a few days without overprocessing.

This recipe is 15/10!!! So good and even my kids were obsessed. Dipping their broccoli in the sauce after they ran out of pasta.

Was not happy with my current recipe and saw this version. It has a little more technique built in (blending the sauce with a stick blender) which besides the other parts of the recipe makes a big difference. I wound up using 1/2 and 1/2 and not heavy cream and it still came out well.

The BEST vodka sauce ever! I’ve tried many versions and this is the perfect balance of heat and spice. The immersion blender makes a complicated recipe so much easier! I ended up using the entire can of tomato paste and finished the pasta in the sauce with additional pasta water. I was about to make noodles but used bronze cut ones imported from Italy. Thanks H‑E‑B! I always check out SSR and Sam’s recipes for baking and now will do so for my savory dishes. A+++

I never heard of vodka sauce until I saw a jar of it at TJMaxx. It was called Jersey Italian Gravy. I was in love after eating it! So I finally got around to making it and of course turned to you for a recipe. Once again you did not disappoint! We indulged in this simple yet complex recipe last night with some vegan meatballs. I had to chuckle because of the heavy cream added but it needed it for a velvety texture – we’re rookie vegans. I’m going to try to make some cashew cream one day and try it in your recipe. You are my go to source for quality meals! Mahalo once again.
