I also meant to say thank you for posting the ingredients and amounts again within the directions of the recipe. I wish more bakers did this, it makes it so much easier to follow the recipe instead of having to scroll back and forth between the directions and ingredient list. I appreciate this additional step you take when sharing your recipes! ❤️

I can’t keep these around! I’ve made about 20 batches of this cookie in the last two weeks and they are gone as quickly as I can make them!

I’ve given so many as gifts this Christmas and out of all the cookies on the platter this one is hands down the favorite.

Is it possible to roll this dough out instead of putting them in the oven as balls? I’d like to use cookie cutters and stamps for this recipe.

thanks for the reply! it didn’t come in time for my baking schedule so I read some of the other comments and ended up rolling them in demara sugar. they were AMAZING! they spread more than I thought they would but next year more space between lol. After my Christmas dinner I put out my baking tins and all the people get goody bags to take home their favs. there wasn’t one of these left and a couple of people hinted that I might have some stashed! lol thank you so much for a great recipe! All the best to you and yours in the coming yeat

In reply to Lyne Smith. Hi Lyne! These can be frozen with the glaze on them. I would let the glaze harden before freezing. These would also be delicious dipped in white chocolate so either way is great! :)

Love love love!
This recipe works and it’s so yummy. I did make a few changes by reducing the sugar to only using 215g of brown sugar and the cookies turned out fine and perfectly sweetened in my opinion, the texture wasn’t affected too, it was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside and oh my goodness typing about it is making me feel like eating yet another cookie. Another change that I made was to use my mum’s homemade cha spice instead of adding each of the spice individually.

I have a couple of questions ( sorry appreciate your time) if I want to freeze these will the glaze be OK to freeze? If not do you think it would be good to maybe dip them in white chocolate. I prepare different gift baskets at different times and it is not always possible for me to add steps. These cookies sound amazing ( as do most of your recipes lol) and I’d like to add them to this year’s lineup.

Hi! I used fresh made brown sugar and they were delicious.
I added 1tsp pumpkin pie seasoning to the drizzle and loved them even more.
