I was gifted some sourdough starter and was told your recipe was the best. I agreed ahead of making it because I’ve made other recipes by you, Sam and they always came out perfect. It was easy to follow your instructions on your video. I had to leave the kitchen and find things to do so I wouldn’t cut it too early after it came out of the oven! The bread turned out beautiful and it cut perfectly into slices. And, man, the taste is just delicious. Thank you so much♥️

It may rise a bit higher over the top of the pan, but I think it could potentially work. Your bake time may vary slightly. 🙂

Hi Sue! You can use a glass pan. It may change your bake time though so you will want to just keep an eye on it. 🙂

Once it dries it turns into concrete, it seems. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to get everything into the trash can . I’ve started filling my kitchen sink with water so I can just dump my utensils in it and dissolve the dough before washing and to rinse my hands between stretch and folds. I loved the recipe! Super easy once you get the hang of it.

I rarely comment, but since I’m dancing around my kitchen due to the success of this bread, I’m going to! The recipe WORKS. I’ve had several failed attempts at sourdough, and I’m always so disappointed. This one? Not a problem. So gorgeous, and I can’t wait to try it. Thank you so much!

Literally the first sourdough I have ever made and im so shocked at how well it turned out despite the absolute buffoonery my last week and half has been. I have somehow managed to mess up every step of the way and still ended up with better than store bought bread! Absolutely wonderful recipe and easy enough for a beginner to understand.

No substitution and I live in Florida so it’s hot and humid. 10/10 would recommend and will be making again

I’m a novice sourdough bread baker and have tried various recipes. This is by far THE BEST ….easiest and most consistent bread recipe yet. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial and excellent recipe.

Hi Wanda! You will want to do the stretch and fold process every 30 minutes until the dough has increased in size by about 80%. At this point the dough is still going to be sticky. You can then get it into your loaf pan where it will need to sit for 12-24 hours. It will rise in the loaf pan as it sits in the refrigerator. 🙂

Thank you so much for this recipe! I’m new to sourdough and have used your recipe twice now. The instructions are very easy and the loaf came out great! My oven runs hot so I adjusted the temp down 5 degrees and the uncovered baking time down to 10 mins and it hit 207 degrees 🙂

Hi Kimberly! That’s a lot of sourdough! I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying it so much! I double this regularly and make 2 loaves of bread, and honestly it’s just easier to make them in 2 separate batches. I hope that helps. 🙂

Hi Megan! You can certainly increase this recipe by 50%. I think it would take a little bit longer to bake so keep an eye on it. I hope you love it! 🙂

Do you think cooking times would be longer or relatively the same? My starter should be ready in a few days and I am so excited to try!

Hi Rose! I do have a sourdough starter recipe. It does take a little bit of time to get established, but it’s pretty straight forward. You need to go through the entire process to make sure it’s ready to use. 🙂
