I could see this as a side, but it was perfect as a stand-alone dinner. We had it with Trader Joes butter croissants and it was perfection. We followed the recipe without deviations, again, PERFECTION!

I’ve made this several times and it’s always delicious! This weekend I changed it up a bit by substituting the shrimp for crawfish (because I had it and didn’t have shrimp) and added 1/2 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning. Oh my! It added a little different texture and spice to it, but it was equally delicious. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!

To have proper ratios, yes I would double all of the ingredients. 🙂

If I want to use 16 ounces of macaroni, should I double all of the other ingredients?

I appreciated the author’s note that I could add the frozen salad shrimp in frozen, at time of creating the salad (night before). Logic was telling me I could, but it was so nice to see it confirmed. I followed her recipe, as is, and found I agreed with her choice of a heaping 1/4 tsp salt, and the use of elbow mac.
I also VERY much appreciated gram measurements included. I’ve only recently started using a kitchen scale, and LOVE it!
Thank you for this excellent recipe!
My husband and I both loved it!

I followed the directions to a T. I really didn’t care for the dressing. And I may have chopped the 4sticks of celery a bit too small. But that would not change the taste. I don’t usually use sugar and vinegar in my salads when I make them. I feel they are just too sweet for me.

I made this recipe and we really enjoyed it on a warm Summer night with some crusty garlic bread! I added a touch of smoked paprika and it was perfect! I will make this again for friends and family!

I use macaroni, green pepper, onion, shrimp and miracle whip (or mayo) mixed with horseradish for a little zing! All my family and friends love it!
