Hi Thomas! The cookies can be frozen, but the sugar would likely just dissolve. They won’t be as pretty, but will still be delicious. πŸ™‚

Hello Sam, I realise this is an older recipe but I’ve only recently gotten into baking and your YouTube channel and this website have been a godsend. I was wondering if these cookies are freezable? and if so are there any steps like the Icing sugar that need to be changed or omitted?
thank you,
Thomas

Hi McKenzie! Lemon juice should work fine, you can also omit the vinegar if needed but your cookies wouldn’t have the same red velvet tanginess.πŸ™‚

I understand it could be left out – just wondering if you had an alternative that wouldn’t alter the taste at all. Also, what do you think would happen if apple cider vinegar was used instead of white??

Hi Kaitlin! You can leave it out; the cookies will just be a brownish color instead. Enjoy!

These taste great! I had the same problem with the powdered sugar. I went heavy on the powdered sugar for the last tray and baked at 375 degrees. That last tray turned out perfect.

Hi Jennell! You can use salted butter. I would cut the salt down to a scant 1/2 teaspoon. πŸ™‚

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy them, Ace, I worked very hard to make sure this recipe had a genuine red velvet flavor and am disappointed it didn’t come through for you, I really feel like we nailed it! Also, this is the only comment I see from you, even checking my spam filter… nothing has been deleted? It sounds like you may be having a computer issue.
