I use this recipe all the time now. My boyfriend asked for me to bring these rolls for his/mom’s birthday this weekend. He and his family absolutely love them!

These came out so yummy! I followed your recipe exact except using your non cream cheese icing on top. I think I wont look at icing the same now since adding butter to it lol…they are so pumpkiny and super good!

These are very tasty! I prepared them the night before and baked them in the morning. I’ll probably pour a little heavy cream on top halfway through the baking next time, just because I prefer mine a little gooier, but the flavor is spot on. The pumpkin is noticeable without being overwhelming. Appreciate the clear instructions as always!

Hi Jennifer! You will use a teaspoon in with the yeast and 2 tablespoons in the dough. The filling will help with your sweetness as well as the topping. You can certainly double this. 🙂

Hi Sam, so there is only 2 Tablespoons of sugar in the actual dough? it seems like it should be slightly sweeter than that. Also, are you able to double this recipe without any issues?

Made these as overnight scrolls and baked fresh in the morning to bring to work. These were delicious. So easy to make, and so so tasty. They were a favourite in my office, with requests to make them again
Thank you Sam for another delicious recipe

Yes! You can cover and refrigerate after cutting. You’ll just need to let the rolls come to room temperature and puff up before you bake the next day 🙂

I do that with a different recipe of regular cinnamon rolls I make.

2nd attempt at cinnamon rolls, and very happy with how these pumpkin slice ones turned out! Smell amazing, so fluffy, and great color on the dough even after baking.

The changes I made were: 1. using rapid rise yeast (my active dry was expired, check!). First rise was 1.5hr, 2nd rise 30min. Place in a warmer area, like by your oven if you’re cooking something else. 2. Added 2 table spoons pumpkin puree to the filling, and I mixed it all together (butter, sugar, spice, pumpkin) before spreading. 3. Cutting strips into the dough with a pizza cutter to roll up. Find this was easier to keep their shape and swirl.

I highly recommend! I used a little more extra flour as my dough was still gooey. I love all your recipes!
