This recipe is absolutely amazing! I have tried making pecan pie for over 40 years and have little success. It either took too long to bake, the filling would somehow get beneath the crust or it never set properly. I decided to try making this yesterday. My husband went crazy over this. He loved it! The flavors were awesome, the pie crust was heavenly and did not over power the pie. It set perfectly even on the first piece! It had the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the pie.

This will be our go to for the years to come! My rating is both for the pie dough itself and the pecan filling. If I could give it 10 stars out of 10 stars I would!

In reply to Elsie. Thank you so much for your support, Elsie! I'm so happy to hear you've been enjoying everything so much! I think you could swap the pecans for walnuts without issue. It will certainly change the taste and probably texture a bit, but it should work just fine. :)

Love all your recipes. I tell friends and family your recipes are my “go to” recipes. I have not tried your pecan pie recipe but will do so shortly. Can I substitute walnuts instead?

This was delicious. I was never a fan of pecan pie before but this one I LOVE. I made it for Thanksgiving. Now my husband has requested this for his birthday instead of cake. Thank you for the great recipes and I enjoy the video tutorials.

In reply to Sara. I guess all in all I would like to make a date pie, so maybe the “sticky” part of the pecan pie would be the dates and topped with pecans or walnuts? Not sure if I make sense lol thanks for responding!!

In reply to Jody. Hi Jody! While I am not familiar with the pie crust you made, if you use my pie crust there is no need to blind bake it. It won't really turn golden brown on the bottom though. :)
