Best hot cross buns I’ve ever made! Definitely will made them again next year. Usually my buns are roll dry rocks, these ones are delicious and moist, and easy to make! My 4 year old son loves them too. Would they work if I just rose them once, after putting them in balls and onto the tray? Mine rose heaps in the bowl but didn’t rise much on the tray. Wondering if I can cut out a step and if they would still work out okay

These Hot Cross Buns tasted exactly (except lighter) like the ones my mother in law used to make each year and then I took over the tradition of making them each Good Friday for my family and friends. Her recipe came from England. Thank you so much for sharing.
