In reply to David. if you haven't already tried, turn your oven to 500°. I have noticed many recipes call for 425° but 500° is better. You can also bake the pie in a 12" cast iron skillet.

I love this pizza sauce! YUM. I decided to add 1/2 t. of fennel seed because Round Table Pizza is one of my favorite sauces and they add fennel. It doesn’t overpower the flavor – in fact, you barely notice it – which was what I was after. With or without it, this is delicious pizza sauce.

Really enjoyed this pizza sauce! I didn’t have diced tomatoes so I used a can of tomato sauce. It worked fine. I also cooked it a little on the stove top. It was delicious.

We really love this sauce, especially on your sourdough pizza! it’s super easy, tasty, and versatile. I’ve used it in making lasagna and spaghetti, and it’s great for dipping bread sticks, too. I’ve used this recipe for three years; it’s my go-to!

Tasty. a good overall taste and consistency. My husband even liked it and hes a finicky eater. Used it on homemade foaccaccia and it was very good. Had enough left over to put in the freezer for another day.
