In reply to Amanda Altura. I'm so sorry to hear this happened, Amanda! Is it possible that your oven is running hotter than it says it is? It's odd that the bottoms were burning. :( Did you bake them on the center rack?

I tried this receipe today and at 425 the muffins bottoms burned. I did not make the larger muffins. The smaller ones. I even turned the temp down to 350 as stated.
I followed the receipe exactly as you stated. I even checked muffins earlier.
I have tried all your other receipes and they all turned out perfect except this one. I checked my oven temp with an oven gauge. Maybe baking it on the lower 350 would be better baking? Not sure. The entire batch in the trash. I have never had anything I have ever baked burn, I am not a professional chef. But have been baking over 36 years. Any other recommendations? Thank you

I had to substitute a few things but they still turned out very tasty. Mine were on the dry side, but I had to sub yogurt for sour cream and maple/ corn syrup in places of molasses.
still a very good muffin!!
