Hi Sam,
I’ve been using a lot of your recipes lately and everything has been wonderful!
I am getting ready to bake the funfetti cookies for xmas. I am wondering for how long they will stay fresh if I leave them in an airtight container? Or could I freeze them? And if so, for how long do you think they can be in the freezer before going into “freezer burn”?

Hi Sam, I love this funfetti Christmas cookies. A new favorite! I made them as written, so delicious and not as time consuming as rolled out sugar cookies and the mess. Enjoyed by everyone who has tasted them. I have, also, tried different morsels, other than chocolate chips and the combinations are endless. I buy my sprinkles from Target mixed with different shapes and varieties. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

I just made these today for Christmas a week early. I plan on freezing most to put out on Christmas Day. Followed this easy recipe to a T, they came out delicious and look beautiful and festive! I baked mine on convection bake so I lowered the temp by 25 degrees and they were done in 10-11 minutes. Add these to your holiday cookie plate, you won’t be disappointed.

Making the cookies now. Of course I used all my left over sprinkes over the amount you have, and using white and dark chocolate chips. These will be my new favorite sugar cookie. They are nice and chewy.

In reply to Maryann. Hi Maryann! The grams are always exactly what I use myself when making the recipes, so it is correct. If you used 2 1/2 cups it would not be enough (that's closer to 300 grams by my standards) but if you used 387 grams you should be good to go. I hope that helps! :)

Hello,
I made the dough and will bake these tomorrow. But, now, looking at the other Funfetti cookies, I may not have added enough flour. I used about 2 1/2 cups of flour which is 387g as is stated in the recipe. I love to measure metrically with a scale because it is more accurate. I am going to bake them as is because I already have them formed into balls and in the freezer. Maybe the grams of flour should be changed in the recipe?

In reply to Melissa. Hi Melissa! They should freeze just fine. Alternatively you could freeze the dough balls and then bake them from frozen and just add an extra minute or two to the bake time. :)
