Ok, so I hate chicken noodle soup with a passion. But my Father-in-law was sick and needed some and didn’t want to use a can. So I knew straight where to go. I made this and tried it, and OH MY GOODNESS!!! IT’S so good!!!!! I loved it too!! I guess I’ve tried canned too much and forgot what the real stuff was. Thank you!!!

WOW! S00000 Good!
I left a comment earlier and read other peoples comments after. I also did not have heavy cream, was planning to use whole milk as a sub until I read the comment saying they had used cream cheese so thatis what I used as a sub for the cream. I was a little concerned when I first put it in the pot, it took a bit for it to totally melt but made it very creamy. GREAT Recipe !
I also appreciate you listing ingredient amounts in the directions 😃

Cooking as I write, I just tasted the broth and it tastes fabulous ! It is a little early for dinner (about 3:30 pm) so, I think when the chicken is done I will keep it warm until later in the day then add noodles and finish up. will comment again after we eat the finished product. 😃

As I type this, we are iced in. But I saw this recipe Saturday morning and shopped for it. I prepared it this morning, except for the chicken.I had roasted a chicken yesterday so I added chopped pieces just as I was rewarming it for dinner. This was the bomb! I used half chicken stock and half vegetable stock, low salt because of dietary restrictions. I did not add the cream and I have to stay, I cannot imagine how cream would improve it.
Just a general comment on your recipes: I really appreciate that in addition to showing us the ingredients list, in the instructions, you mention the amounts again. This saves the frustration of having to go back to the ingredients list again and again.

Made this last night and it was delicious. Realized I didn’t have any cream so I tried cream cheese instead. It was yummy. Also love your cream of potato soup recipe. Have already made it twice and shared with neighbors. It was a hit!

This soup was so yummy. My whole family enjoyed it so much I didn’t change anything about it. This is the best chicken noodle soup we have ever had. My kids are picky eaters at times but they love this soup. Will definitely make this again

Made this last fall for my coworkers and they gobbled it up! It was sooo wonderful!! Easy to make! I cheated and used a Rotisserie chicken to save time. I am going to make it again today!

As my husband started to get a second serving, he told me, “Don’t lose this recipe!” The only change I made was using rotisserie chicken.
Every recipe I’ve made from this site has been delicious, especially your caramel and lemon-blueberry cake recipes.
