You may need a little more than 170g for all of the cookies, but I would use the same tablespoon sized scoop for each cookie. You may want to freeze them briefly so you can fold the dough around it. 🙂

would 170g of it be good – or would this be too much for the cookie’s structure?

Hi Erin! You can just use nutella for the filling. 🙂

I started making these with a tbsp of Nutella in them instead of the chocolate filling and people go crazy for them. But if you put the original recipe in the microwave for just a few seconds they are a true 10 out of 10 cookie.

I’m sorry to hear this happened, Brooke! Did you weigh your flour? Did you make any substitutions or alterations? You can see me use 2 sticks (1 cup) of butter in the video and they don’t spread. 🙁

Way too much butter in this recipe. Followed the recipe exactly and the cookies spread like crazy.

In reply to Sam.

Well, here to report these were a hit! Cannot tell they are GF. So King Arthur told the truth (: My husband said they taste just like a churro.
BTW- the divot with my thumb was just not happening. Maybe the ganache wasn’t cold enough to begin with. In any case, y’all, I was able to “hamburger” them by splitting the dough in half, for anyone who had the same issue of large ganache rounds.

Thanks SO much for yet another winner.

I came here to see if anyone had any success using GF flour. I will be the guinea pig, it seems. I have King Arthur measure-for-measure. THEY say it should work….. I can’t wait to try ’em!

Hi Sawyer! I haven’t tried it so I can’t say for sure how it would go, but I *think* it could work. 🙂

Hi Stacey! Unfortunately a cookie not flattening is likely the result of too much flour in the dough. 🙁

Mine didn’t flatten either, if they would have cooked any longer they would have been overcooked. Maybe too long in the fridge?

In reply to Sam.

Hi Sam! Actually they turned out perfect. I’m so use to baking thinner cookies. These are very similar to the thickness of Crumbl cookies which we love but can barely afford. So far I’ve now baked 5 different kinds of your gourmet cookies in the last couple days (Christmas presents). Your printed recipes are very easy to read and follow and the weights in grams are a great help. Thanks for everything!!!

Hi Mike! They aren’t supposed to flatten out completely, but it sounds like yours maybe started to flatten? How big were your dough scoops? They may have just needed a little more time in the oven. 🙁

Hi Trixie! They likely won’t bake properly at the lower temperature for less time.
