In reply to Nancy Emerick. Hi Nancy! If you wanted it to fill the deep dish pan you would need to increase the recipe, but otherwise you could put it in the deep dish pan it just won't fill it up as much. :)

Made this pie for thanksgiving giving to complement the pumpkin pie I usually bake Topped the pecan pie with whipped cream and dove in. Wonderful crunchy pecans with the smooth chocolate almost truffle like filling. It was very rich so we all had tiny pieces. The family made sure I sent pieces of this pie home with each of them. Thank you Sam for yet another hit.

I tried a chocolate pecan pie for the first time at a pie tasting the other week and it was SO good. I immediately came on here to see if you had a recipe and was so sad that you didn’t. I tried a recipe from another website but it did not come out good. And now here it is!!! I adore all of your recipes and I’m so excited to try this one out. I’m in charge of desserts for Thanksgiving and will definitely be making this one. Thank you, Sam!
