Delicious! I followed the recipe as written, but didn’t pull out my food processor for the biscuit dough. For the biscuits, I put my stick of butter in the freezer for a bit and then grated it on my box grater, mixed my grated butter with my flour mixture, added the milk and stirred it. I used shredded chicken breast. The leftovers reheated very well the next day in the microwave and tasted even better than fresh out of the oven. Thanks for another great recipe, Sam!

Thank you! He doesn’t like traditional pie crust on the top (or bottom for that matter) and LOVES biscuits and as soon as I showed him this he about jumped outta his skin and was like “I’M THERE!!!!” lol. I do have a roasting pan as well so if it didn’t fit in the 9×13 I could always put it in the roasting pan. Can’t wait!

Hi Christina! If you have a large enough skillet that is oven safe you can do it in there (I’d place a foil lined tray underneath just in case of any spilling) OR you could divide it into a few (I think 2 would probably be sufficient) pie plates after cooking it on the stovetop. It might even fit into a 13×9 pan (not positive, haven’t tried it). I think you could definitely get creative with what you have on hand to make it work. Let me know what you try, and I really hope you and your husband enjoy the pot pie! 🙂

Delicious! I will never use another pot pie recipe! I made this in advance so we had something prepared for over our busy weekend. I froze the biscuits and stored the pot pie mixture in the fridge until we were ready to use it. I of course doubled the biscuit recipie so I now have frozen biscuits ready for whenever!

I wanted to add, I’ve made many biscuit recipes over the years, and these are the best. I’m a southern gal, so I know my biscuits. Stew very flavorful, too.
