This is one of those special recipes that yields a remarkably delicious product while only using the simplest of ingredients and steps. I had recently purchased some cinnamon pecans from a favorite vendor, and I thought they were really good. Then I came across this recipe and its use of allspice. One of my favorite cookie recipes uses allspice in similar proportions, and it is a lifelong favorite in our family. So I tried this recipe just to see if the allspice would turbocharge the flavors in this context as it had with the cookie recipe. It did and more. The tastes achieved by this recipe beat my previous favorite commercial product recipe by a mile. If you have access to fresh pecans, I encourage you to try this out. Thank you for sharing it with us. The next batch I make will use 1/2 t of allspice; the first batch used 1/4 t of allspice.

These are amazing. I just finished making a batch and will definitely be making more before Christmas. I had no issue with the parchment paper. Held on to the corner with my oven mitt and tossed them around with a large serving fork. I have a new fav to add to my cookie trays. Thank you.

These are delicious! I will be giving them out to friends at Christmas! Just a note…I found that doing them on a silpat makes clean up easy without having to deal with the parchment moving around while stirring.

These are delicious. I used only 1/8 tsp of allspice but may add more next time. Thank you to whoever said they added cayenne. I only used a dash and it was perfect.

Rosie here. I made these pecans but did' I made a few changes, number one did not put any allspice in it. i will try that next time I make them. and believe me i will make them again, Number 2 i did not put as many pecans in it as was called for . they turned out great

I just made these to go on a salad for Christmas dinner. I did not add the allspice but subbed in 1/2 tsp. cayenne. You really could not taste the cayenne at first but hit at the back of your throat at the end. They are perfect!! Easy, foolproof, and delicious. Thank you for the excellent recipe.

This is the best Candied Pecan recipe ever. Sooo good. I made so many batches last year that I gave as christmas gifts that I am now known the the Candied Pecan queen and the same peope are expecting them again this year.
