It’s Sam’s recipe, so of course it’s great. As I’ve said before, Sam is a master of seasoning. The small amounts of onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika are nicely subtle, because the bacon, lettuce and tomato are the start here, and they do shine (especially if you use a few extra strips of bacon, as I’m sure a number of people do).

Really really enjoyed this. We decided next time a little more bacon. Maybe cause my friends son was using the dip as a spread lol. Is definitely in my pile to make again! Thank you!

I made this for an app for Thanksgiving and served with tortilla chip ‘bowls’ and crackers. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, however for me I thought it needed more spice/flavor. Maybe because I know how much dairy and calories I was consuming and wanted a bit more satisfaction? I also put it in a 12 inch dish because I thought the dairy ‘dip’ portion was too dense in my 9 inch pie pan I had. I’m glad I did that since it gave me the chance to put more lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, green onion, and bacon on the top. I enjoy my dip to be even ratio creamy to crunch and this achieved that. Maybe that made it a bit bland? But again, everyone enjoyed it and I didn’t take any home with me.
However I think I’ll up the garlic and paprika next time to give it more punch…maybe some jalapeños chopped up? Either way, it was a crowd pleaser again Sam!

This dip is delicious. Not a morsel leftover. I served it with frito scoops and they were a big hit!

This sounds great however I would use green cabbage instead of lettuce if you are leaving out for a social gathering otherwise the lettuce will get soggy too quickly.

This is a wonderful recipe, aside from the calories ; ) !! Use leftovers (if there are any) over a baked potato and you’ll think you’ve gone to heaven! Thanks for another fantastic recipe idea!
